Study in England at London House
London House School of English is a fantastic place to study English. We are located in Kent, the Garden of England, in the beautiful seaside town of Westgate-on-sea. Westgate-on-sea is only 25km from the famous city of Canterbury, 100km from London and within easy reach of the major London airports and the port of Dover. See (map) London House was founded in 1965. The school has two integrated self-access and listening centres with computers with free internet access and language learning programs. There are two students' lounges with HD TV and Cinema projector, DVD player and HD Satellite. We also a have a garden and summer house. There is a leisure centre nearby and activities such as horse riding can be arranged and of course there is a beautiful sandy beach. The school has fully equipped modern classrooms, two with interactive Smart-boards and touch screen computers. Our teachers are enthusiastic and dedicated and use a variety of teaching techniques and materials. |

Our social programme includes: visits to local places of interest, full or half day excursions to places like London, Canterbury, Dover and Leeds Castle and Cambridge. Also international evenings, discos, quizzes, sports competitions and barbecues in the summer

London House is committed to maintaining and improving standards both in and out of the classroom. This is a continuing process, which the management and all our staff take part in. In particular, our teachers are actively encouraged to update their skills and to develop professionally and personally.
Meet the teachers
London House prides itself on its friendly teachers and staff. All our teachers have a minimum of a Cambridge Certificate (CELTA) or Trinity Certificate (TESOL), some have a Cambridge Diploma (DELTA). Some teachers are also examiners and assessors for Cambridge and IELTS. In the summer we also have teachers with QTS qualifications.
Our teachers are enthusiastic about teaching the English language and try to use as many different teaching methods as they can to make your learning experience fun and varied. They keep up-to-date with modern teaching techniques by attending courses and in-house workshops.
